Our Story (and why Jones Soda is a-okay)

So in case you didn't know, Benji and I dated in high school. He was my first "real" boyfriend, and he claims I was his first "real" girlfriend.* After a true high school romance, of oh, a few months, we broke up. We remained friendly, but not romantically inclined. We graduated from high school and went our separate ways.

Fast-forward ten years to Gary Furbee's wedding to Denise: Benji escorted me to my seat, and I thought "hey, he's still cute." Sounds like he thought the same of me, and we spent the evening catching up.

Fast-forward another month: Benji visited me in Evanston. Benji (as usual) was hungry, so we went to the fine eating establishment known as "Panera" (oooooo-aaaaah). While at Panera, I hemmed and hawed and explained why we should not get into a real relationship. Benji disagreed, and proceeded to show me the inside of a Jones Soda cap which read "put faith in a personal relationship". And so I did, and the rest is history...

*my being his first girlfriend actually is not true, but for some reason, he now states it as fact

I like the nightlife, I like to boogie

Given that we are music fans (or should I say, I am a music fan and bmr is a music freak), we believe good music is critical to the success of our wedding. That said, we are currently taking requests!

Let us know song titles (preferably with artists) that you would like to hear at the reception, and we'll look into putting your picks into the rotation*.

*Please note that The Electric Slide, The Chicken Dance, The Macarena, or anything quoted as a "bad breakup song" will not be considered seriously but will most likely be ridiculed.
